How to Update Address in LIC Policy Online (Without Visiting Branch)

Updating your address in LIC policy records is important — incorrect address means you miss important communications, premium notices, and bonus notifications. Good news: you can do it online without visiting a branch.

## Method 1: LIC Online Customer Portal (Recommended)

**Step 1:** Visit customer.onlineportal.licindia.in **Step 2:** Login with your registered mobile number or email **Step 3:** If not registered: click "New User Registration" → enter policy number → mobile → OTP → create password **Step 4:** After login: click "Services" → "Policy Holder Services" → "Change of Address" **Step 5:** Enter your new address (city, state, PIN code) **Step 6:** Upload supporting document (Aadhaar, utility bill, bank statement with new address) **Step 7:** Submit. LIC processes within 5-7 working days.

## Method 2: LIC Mobile App

Download "LIC Customer" app from Google Play or App Store. The address change process is the same as the web portal.

Bring to your nearest LIC branch: - Completed address change form (available at branch or download from licindia.in) - Original policy bond (for reference) - Self-attested copy of new address proof (Aadhaar, voter ID, utility bill) - Original ID proof
